MIPCOM 2018: Sales highlights

Austrian drama continues its journey around the world. Season VI of "Fast Forward" has been successfully introduced to the international markets and will soon air in various territories. FTV Prima (Czech Republic) acquired a package consisting of 11 stand-alone movies from ORF's successful strand "Backwoods Crimes" as well as 4 brand new movies from the "Scene of the Crime" franchise. Discovery (Italy) purchased another 9 episodes of "Scene of the Crime" for its channel Giallo, now totaling to 17 episodes raising attention of its audiences.
The VOD platform Pantaflix has signed a package of TV movies and series including the Austrian hit crimes series "K-Files" as well as selected episodes from the series "Fast Forward".
Al Jazeera Documentary Channel continues its cooperation with ORF-Enterprise by closing a multi-hour documentary package. The bundle features top quality wildlife and nature productions including the 4K three-parter "Wild Caribbean - Rhythms of Life", "Highlife at Low Temperatures" in addition to a series of lifestyle, current affairs and science documentaries from ORF-Enterprise's rich catalog.
Knowledge Network (Canada), RAI (Italy) and RSI (Switzerland) acquired the ORF UNIVERSUM flagship title "Sky River of the Himalayas". The three-parter presents the world's highest major river thundering through the planet's biggest gorge in Asia.
Significant volume deals have been concluded with TRT (Tukey). TRT picked up several wildlife and nature documentaries: Among them the award winning productions "Lionsrock" and "Vanishing Kings - Lions of the Namib II". New packages for TRT's various channels are being prepared for the upcoming seasons and confirm ORF-Enterprise's role as a premium supplier of content.
Russian broadcaster Russia-K bags a documentary and history package including "Wild Caribbean - Rhythms of Life", "Stars and Stripes", "Giants of the Atlantic - Azores" and "Maria Theresa - Europe's Mother-in-Law" - highlights from ORF's weekly UNIVERSUM and UNIVERSUM HISTORY strands.
Musical performances from Austria have been licensed to New Zealand and Italy. Sky Network Television (New Zealand) secured a performance from the "International Baroque Days" as well as a concert from the annual event "Baroque Treasures": "From Ospedale to Concordia".
TV2000 (Italy) secured the broadcast of the annual musical highlight "Christmas in Vienna" featuring the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra teaming up with the Vienna Boys' Choir and internationally acclaimed soloists as well as a package of historic concerts conducted by Maestro Herbert von Karajan.
