Europe Sings

Europe Sings

A musical peace project on the occasion of the 100th memorial of World War I - in front of the magnificent backdrop of Vienna's historic townhall, Europe's best choirs got together on Europe Day, May 9th, and created a unique vocal experience! The repertoire of the choirs from all over Europe impresses through their great diversity. Ranging from English madrigals and early Baroque musical works to classical music and music from romanticism up to contemporary compositions and vocal jazz the singers amaze with their varying facets. Conducted by the young Cornelius Meister and accompanied by the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra as well as the Arnold Schoenberg Choir, this concert is a real highlight of international musical performances!
