Faith, Love, Death

Glaube, Liebe, Tod

A young woman is found dead in a townhouse still under construction, apparently strangled by someone she knew and invited into her half-furnished home. A traffic officer investigating a nearby hit-and-run accident discovers the victim and immediately contacts his friend, detective Moritz Eisner. Eisner's investigations not only confront him with a family tragedy but lead him ever deeper into the network of a powerful global organization that hides its worldly claims to power behind a religious fašade. Soon, Eisner realizes that he is the one under scrutiny. The organization's eyes and ears seem to be everywhere, even in the public prosecutor's office. In the long run he discovers that the cult is trying to recruit his daughter Claudia. Then a second murder in the same pattern casts the case in a new and disturbing light. The victim is a psychologist who worked at deprogramming former sect members and who had a very personal reason for her activities.
